Cigarette is a killer. Individuals who smoking or use other varieties of tobacco will develop disease and die sooner than are people who avoid tobacco. Hi! Wow, this is excellent. I so buy into the man who quit after 40 yrs. That's me. I'm using the patch. Now on 3rd week of 14mg dosage. Was on 21mg for 14 days but only totally smoke cigarettes free for last 2 days of that. I sensed the drop to 14mg a lot. I describe my experience as mediocre narcotic withdrawal with the patch. Am on week 3 smoke cigarettes free. I went through narcotic withdrawal and know very well what that's like. This isn't as acute however the symptoms are similar. I'm 55 and have smoked menthol 100's since I had been 15. I'm motivated to quit! All the best to all.
Congratulations to all who have quit smoking!!! What a journey. I am 24 times smoke free and have really learned a great deal from reading the article and your articles. It has been a challenge and even though I am better today for days gone by two days I used to be very emotional and looking for what to depress me. It had been definitley PMS like however I am way earlier PMS'ing. Just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this and how long I could expect it to previous. Like I said far better today and also have a handle onto it but think about for how much time I can expect reocurrences. Thank you for any advice you might have.
The thing I'm concerned about is the fact that I simply started another job, so I will be working seven days a week and it's really in the meals industry. That's where a whole lot of smokers are and I am hoping I can hold on to this grip I've right now.I am doing great and I can't become more thankful that it's been this easy so far. I can not wait to get to the four weeks mark and then your 3 month and then the rest of my life mark! It's an exciting adventure that I can't wait to see smoke free!!
Once you quit, you learn to get immediate health advantages. After only 20 minutes, your heart rate goes back to normal. Within a day, your blood's carbon monoxide level also falls back into place. In only 2-3 weeks, you will begin to lower your probability of having a coronary attack. In the long run, you'll also lower your potential for getting lung cancer and other cancers.
Contrary to public opinion, smoking doesn't only harm the lungs of any smoker, and cancer isn't the only hazard to a smoker's health. Inhaling tobacco smoke can cause damage to most of the body's organs and systems. Understanding exactly how much harm smoking causes you will be the impetus you will need to quit. Understand that a voyage of a thousand miles commences with an individual step.
